Funeral services to be held for 23-year-old Raffaella Maria Stroik
SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- Funeral arrangements for 23-year-old Raffaella Stroik have been announced.
Stroik had been reported missing on Nov. 12 and on Wednesday, Nov. 14, her body was discovered in Mark Twain Lake in Missouri.
Raffaella Stroik, a South Bend native, had been an accomplished dancer for the Saint Louis Ballet.
The Saint Louis Ballet issued the following statement:
We mourn the death of our friend and colleague Raffaella Maria Stroik. She was a wonderful dancer and a beautiful person. We extend our condolences to her family. We are so very sad.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Kaniewski Funeral Home located at 3545 N. Bendix Drive from 2-8 p.m with Rosary held at 6 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 3:30 p.m. at Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame.
Stroik will be laid to rest at Cedar Grove Cemetery at the University of Notre Dame.
