Future looks bright for a South Bend company

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The future looks bright for a South Bend company.

Inovateus Solar is teaming up with G.E. Energy to build solar carports for electric vehicles.

The prototype is capable of producing 100 kilowatt hours of electricity, that is enough to charge about 20 vehicles.

Right now, 25 people work at the company but, but its president expects that number to double soon.

The goal is to build about 6,000 solar carports within the next 10 years.
