Future of Union High School on the line

DOWAGIAC, Mich. -- The future of Union High School in Dowagiac is on the line with Tuesday's vote.

The superintendent said that the high school is in bad shape and makes learning difficult.

To save money, the district wants to close the high school and add onto the middle school.

The nearly $20 million tax proposal would cost the average homeowner about $40 a year over the next 25 years.
