GameDay invades Michigan campus
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- ESPN’s College GameDay took over the University of Michigan campus on Saturday.
The show highlighted the night matchup between No. 14 Notre Dame and No. 17 Michigan.
Former Michigan Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard hosted the show along with Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Samantha Ponder, and David Pollack.
Wolverine’s Head Coach Brady Hoke joined the College GameDay team for a live appearance.
Coro picked the Irish to win the game while holding a live chicken and wearing the Notre Dame Leprechaun’s hat.
Saturday was the sixth time the Michigan-Notre Dame rivalry has been showcased by ESPN.
The last time College GameDay was in Ann Arbor was 2 years ago when the rivals played in the first-ever night game at Michigan Stadium. The Wolverines nabbed that win ending the night 35-31.
This year’s game is the final Michigan-Notre Dame matchup at the Big House for years to come.
The schools don’t have any games scheduled after the 2014 meeting in South Bend.
