Gas station clerk robbed at gunpoint

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A McClures gas station was robbed early Thursday morning.The store's clerk was held-up at gunpoint, and asked to hand over all of the cash.

Police are still looking for the suspect. He came into the store in the early morning and pulled a pistol on the clerk. ABC57 spoke with the clerk earlier today, and he says it only took police minutes to get to the scene.

Right now law enforcement officials are identifying finger prints, using a K-9 Unit and look at surveillance video to identify the suspect.

"He just said give me the money and open the drawer and give me the money. I was a little bit scared because when you have a firearm in your face you get nervous."

The amount of money stolen was not released. Police tell us they believe a getaway car was parked across the street.
