Geocache Chili Dump Program at St. Patricks County Park

The Geocache Chili Dump Program will be on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at St. Patrick’s County Park, in South Bend, Indiana. The fee for the program is $10 per person. Registration and payment are required by Wednesday, March 7. For more information or to register, call 574/654-3155. The program location is the White Barn Harvest Room, GPS coordinates: N 41° 45.473’, W 086° 16.055’. Participants should bring some chili to contribute to the lunch pot. Bowls, spoons, chili fixings and drinks are provided.

Participants will learn how to use a Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) device and go on a high-tech “treasure hunt” to find caches at St. Patrick’s County Park and throughout the world. GPS apps are available for a variety of smart phones. Bring a smart phone with a GPS app or a GPS unit if possible; limited loaner units are available. St. Patrick’s County Park is located at 50651 Laurel Road, just north of Auten Road in South Bend.
