Gingerbread Village Competition returns to South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Gingerbread Village Competition from Downtown South Bend returns for 2020. Bakers of all ages and skills are invited to craft a gingerbread house that will be displayed until Christmas.

The deadline to enter the competition is Wednesday, December 2nd. Registration is free and can be done on Downtown South Bend’s website.

Entries should be dropped off at the Courtyard by Marriott, fully assembled, on December 2nd between 5 and 6 p.m. or the 3rd between noon and 1 p.m.

The Gingerbread Village will be on display in the lobby from December 4th through the 24th.

There will be a first-place prize for three categories; non-professional child (age 18 and under), non-professional (individual, family, or group), and professional (individual or group).

Awards will also be given out for votes from the public.
