Golden Corral breaks ground in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- By the end of the year, there will be a new place to eat in Mishawaka.

The owners officially broke ground on Tuesday for a new Golden Corral restaurant.

Two couples are opening the buffet franchise at the corner of Douglas and Main Street.

This will be their first attempt at the restaurant business.

They told us they want to provide good quality food in a family setting.

"We all work together in another business and have for years and that's one thing; no matter how big we get, we want to continue to be a family business. That's where the values are and everything we believe in revolves around our family," said Co-Owner Pam Zahrt.

Their goal is to open the restaurant by November.

They plan to hire up to 150 employees.
