Good turnout expected at first RV show of the season

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The first RV show of the season is underway in Elkhart County at the RV Hall of Fame. There are over 200 RVs from seven dealers based in Elkhart.

Dealers say they are expecting a great turn out this weekend especially because the sun is shining.

They say that RV sales greatly depend on the weather because people don't even begin to think about camping until the sun comes out.

“I feel like it’s a great time for the RV industry right now. There's lots of new stuff lighter stronger less expensive. Financing is fantastic right now, super low rates, we can get payments as low as $70 a month, so pretty much anybody can afford to own one of these,” said Dave Titus, owner of International RV LLC.

A few RVs have already been sold. The organizers say they expect to sell at least half of the RVs in the show.
