GOP county officials sworn in

St. Joseph County Republicans made history in November.

For the first time in nearly 43 years the GOP controls the St. Joseph County Commission.

Tuesday, the newly elected Republicans took the oath of office at the St. Joseph County courthouse.

The group said they have high hopes for the New Year.

"It's a great day here in St. Joe County for the Reublican Party," said Andy Kostienlney, St. Joe County Board of Commissioners. "We've added two or three newly elected officials, so we've had a great year and we are looking forward to another couple more great years."

St. Joseph County Democrats were sworn in last week.
