Goshen Community Schools to excuse student absences due to safety concerns

GOSHEN, Ind. - The superintendent of Goshen Community Schools announced Tuesday evening that the Goshen Police Department notified them of a threat directed at Goshen junior high and high school students.

Goshen Community Schools stated that any student absences related to this situation on Wednesday, January 10, will be excused.

Officials added they will implement added security measures and increased police presence throughout the school day, which is scheduled to go on as normal.

The police are actively investigating the situation, and Goshen school officials are working closely with them to ensure the safety and security of the school community.
