GOSHEN, Ind. -- Allan Kauffman, of the Goshen Community School Board, will be joining a state educational committee.
Kauffman is now formally a part of the legislative committee of the Indiana School Board Association.
The committee is primarily responsible for the creation of new education-based policies for the board each school year.
Dr. Steven Hope, Superintendent of Goshen Community Schools, expressed his gratitude for Kauffman's decision to join the board.
"it is good to know that Goshen Schools has someone looking out for Goshen students, families and staff. Allan cares about our school community and he will be an excellent advocate for public education," said Dr. Hope.
Part of Kauffman's responsibilities as a board member will be to put together recommendations for improvements to education within the state.
