Goshen Theater brings Youth Mental Health First Aid certification to community

GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen Theater Education Department brings Youth Mental Health First Aid certification to the community on June 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and registration closes on May 10.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is an early intervention public education program that teaches you to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health challenges in children ages 12 to 18.

The certification is provided by the Elkhart County Health Department, and with support of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Educators, directors, administrators, and citizens of all backgrounds are invited to join us in this training to better serve the youth Elkhart County.

You must be 18 years or older to register for this certification and there is a $25 registration fee. You can register here.

Participants must complete a two-hour online course before the in-person training on June 3.

Lunch will be provided to participants at in-person training.

There are only twenty-four spots available for this certification course, and if spots fill up, a wait-list will be created on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration closes on May 10, at 5PM.
