Government to issue nationwide airbag recall

The federal government says they want a nationwide recall of airbags made by the Japanese company Takata.

The airbags have the potential to send shards of metal flying upon explosion into passengers and drivers.

The senate will hold a hearing Thursday on the Takata airbag issue and will question a top executive from Takata.
