Governor announces first COVID-19 death in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS—On Monday, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb announced the first death in the state as a result of COVID-19.
A person over 60 years old, with underlying health issues, died from coronavirus, the governor said during a press conference.
The victim's name was not released but officials said the victim was from Marion County.
Officials said the victim died at a Community Health Network hospital on Monday morning.
The victim's significant other was also diagnosed with coronavirus.
