Governor Holcomb directs flags to half-staff for former First Lady

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb is directing flags across the state to be flown at half-staff to honor and remember former First Lady, Pat Whitcomb.

Whitcomb passed away on June 27 in Seymour at the age of 91.

Whitcomb is survived by her five children, seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Alice Dolfuss, her brother, Nelson Dolfuss, Jr., and her grandson, John Whitcomb.

Flags are asked to be flown at half-staff from now until sunset on Monday, July 12.

Governor Holcomb asks businesses and residents to also lower their flags to half-staff.
