INDIANAPOLIS— During his daily press conference, Governor Eric Holcomb and several other state leaders provided an update to the state's response to COVID-19.
Holcomb said that his regularly scheduled press conferences will now be held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 2:30 p.m. instead of every weekday.
Contact tracing in Indiana at the state level started on Monday, according to Holcomb.
The process of contact tracing involves determining the people who have been in contact with an infected person, and his or her level of exposure, and what steps should be taken to the control the spread of COVID-19, Dr. Kristina Box, the state’s health department commissioner, said.
Box said that patients should continue seeking out non-coronavirus related medical care through their healthcare providers such as mammograms, colonoscopies, childhood wellness exams and routine immunizations.
