LANSING, Mich. -- Governor Gretchen Whitmer delivered the State of the State address in front of a joint session of the Michigan Legislature on Wednesday.
She laid out her policy goals and is calling for bipartisanship in order to grow the economy. She is seeking to build upon the first Democratic-led legislature in 40 years.
She specifically proposed plans in order to be able to lower costs, guarantee that residents of Michigan will be able to have affordable housing, continue to invest in education from preschool to college, keep protecting the state's seniors, among other issues.
