Grand opening at Unity Gardens for Earth Day celebration

SOUTH BEND, Ind.- Unity Gardens will make its grand opening Saturday, April 22 on Earth Day.
The event begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m.
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 12 p.m. with Mayor Mueller.
The first-ever Green Globe Award winner will be announced at 12:30 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public.
Light refreshments, activity booths, garden tours, and project announcements will be happening throughout the event.
For those looking to volunteer extra time, join the Unity Garden crew as they pick up trash in the garden and surrounding areas from 10-11 a.m. on the day of the event.
