Granger Commons opens new cafe, book store

GRANGER, Ind. -- This Saturday and Sunday, Granger Commons is celebrating the opening of its new cafe and book store called Reads & Things.

Granger Commons is the new name for the Granger Community Church on University Drive.

Reads & Things features gifts for the holidays as well as a wide range of food.

"It's really an outreach to provide a safe and comfortable setting for people who maybe have never been to church before. They wanna try it out for the holidays, they wanna be in a place that feels comfortable and feels like home," said Leah Stripe.

The church said the expanded space is open to the community for small gatherings or  business meetings.

It's now been open for about three weeks.
