WEESAW TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Weesaw Township is getting better equipped to respond to emergencies, thanks to a fire department grant from the Berrien County Community Foundation.
With a $7,500 check, Weesaw Township will acquire three new 'Jaws of Life' since their current set is outdated, at least 20 years old, and powered by hydraulic pump.
The new Jaws of Life will help first responders reach victims more quickly, and will do so powered by battery, ultimately lowering maintenance costs for their fire department.
