ELKHART, Ind. -- A railroad project in Elkhart is expected to ease delays and eliminate blocked railroad crossings thanks to a new grant worth $2.6 million.
The grant was announced by Indiana Republican Representative, Jackie Walorski, and the improvements will be done through the Western Railroad Company.
Track safety and car capacity will also be a focus for areas of improvement.
