Greyhound passengers stranded

EFFINGHAM, Ill. -- A Greyhound driver dropped off Chicago-bound passengers in southern Illinois and never returned to pick them up.

The bus was headed to Chicago from Memphis.

The driver reportedly dropped the passengers off in Effingham, Illinois, drove off and never came back.

Passengers say they called Greyhound customer service for answers, but didn't get any help.

"It just didn't seem like the care and concern was there. We had to ask other buses pulling up, can you call, can you do this, can you do that," said passenger Anthony Carter.

After four hours and no answers, another driver finally picked up the stranded passengers.

Greyhound has since apologized and issued travel vouchers to those passengers.
