Grissom Middle School student allegedly made threat for Friday
Grissom Middle School informed parents Tuesday that a student allegedly made a threat for Friday, according to a letter sent to parents and guardians.
Students overheard the alleged threat and reported it to school administrators, the letter says.
The student was identified and a threat assessment was conducted. The assessment deemed the threat substantive.
Penn Harris Madison’s School Resource Officer was notified and will investigate further.
The investigation is ongoing.
“The safety of your child and all our students is a top priority for Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation. We take these matters very seriously, responding immediately with the appropriate action,” the letter stated.
