BUCHANAN, Mich. -- The McCoy's Creek Trail is set to be expanded in Buchanan.
A celebratory groundbreaking was held this morning.
The work will expand the trail from the E.B. Clark Woods to 'River St. Joe Brewery' on Walton Road.
That would connect the trail to the 'Indiana Michigan River Valley Trail' in Niles.
"I hope the community gets outside and enjoys nature. I hope it connects the downtown to the township as well, and people can see the beauty of Buchanan, and it's been said, one of the nicest small towns in America. And hopefully this just helps continue that story," stated Flatwater Farms Owner Frances Tuite.
Work is getting started now, but there's no set completion date.
