Groundbreaking underway for new downtown South Bend hotel
The downtown landscape in South Bend is set to look a bit different.
City officials are hoping to see more traffic downtown with a new 5 story hotel.
The hall of fame building will be repurposed, used for offices for JSK hospitality, the company behind this new downtown hotel. It will have 120 rooms.
City officials say the hotel will create dozens of jobs and bring millions in revenue to South Bend by enticing more conventions to choose South Bend as host.
They are hoping the hotel will be done by this time next year. ABC 57 will be following the latest developments in this story.
