Gunfire reported in Elkhart, 1 injured

ELKHART, Ind. – Officers responded to shots fired in Elkhart Tuesday evening.
According to the Elkhart Police Department, at approximately 7:01 p.m. police were dispatched to the 300 block of North 3rd Street on reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from what appeared to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The 41-year-old male victim was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment.
The case remains under investigation.
