Harley Davidson recalling more than 300,000 motorcycles

Harley Davidson is recalling more than 300,000 motorcycles worldwide.

It's because of a problem with the rear brake light switch. The company says the exhaust system in certain models may expose the switch to excessive heat. That could cause the light to malfunction. The problem affects some touring and bike models made from 2009 to 2012.

About a quarter of a million motorcycles are being recalled in the United States alone.
