Niles Township Deputies are investigating a serious head-on collision that happened Saturday sending both drivers to the hospital.

It happened on M-51 near Pucker Street in Niles Township around 9:40 p.m.

Officers say they found the drivers of both vehicles entrapped in their cars when they arrived at the scene.

Niles Township Fire units used extrication equipment to remove the drivers.

Both drivers were transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment of serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
