SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Health officials in Saint Joseph County hosted a health fair tonight, offering free resources to visitors, including vision, dental screenings, and vaccinations.
The event brings local and state organizations together in delivering the community support, all in one place, as part of the Indiana Immunization.
"One of our biggest things if, if you don't have a primary care doctor or insurance, we cover that cost, especially the health departments as well can help out those immunizations,' stated Indiana Immunization Coalition Community Engagement Manager Mariana Winke.
The next free Health Resource Fair will take place in the fall.
Visitors who attended today's event, got to go home with a $10 gas card, a hygiene kit, and a free pair of socks.
