Hearing, vision screening clinic for homeschooled, virtual students in Berrien County January 4

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. - The Berrien County Health Department is hosting a hearing and vision screening clinic for homeschooled and virtual students on January 4 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The free, walk-in clinic will be held at both the Benton Harbor office, located at 2149 E. Napier Ave., and the Niles office, located at 1205 N. Front St.

The clinic is only open to students in kindergarten through ninth grade in Berrien County.

The hearing screening takes two to three minutes to complete. If any hearing issues are found, the health department will provide a referral for a hearing exam at the family's healthcare provider or at the Berrien Springs Public Schools Hearing Center.

The vision screening takes five to 10 minutes to complete. If any vision issues are found, the health department will provide a referral for an eye exam at the family's chosen eye doctor.
