The heat will begin to break soon. Before that, it will still be a very hot and humid evening with heat index values above 100 degrees. All this heat and humidity could spark some strong thunderstorms late this evening, mainly north/east of South Bend. Damaging straight-line winds and heavy rain look to be the main threats to look out for. Any storms should diminish after midnight, with temperatures falling into the lower 70s. It'll still be warm and a little humid on Friday, but it will be a big improvement compared to the last few days. The weekend will be refreshing, with highs in the upper 70s and lower humidity. Look out for an elevated swim risk on Lake Michigan on Saturday and Sunday.
Tonight: Storms possible. Otherwise, warm and humid. Low 70.
Tomorrow: Cooler, but still summer-like. High 82.
Saturday: Cooler, less humid, and breezy. High 78.
Sunday: Pleasant and sunny. High 78.
