BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety have confirmed that one man has been killed on the corner of Pipestone Street and Empire Avenue in Benton Harbor.
Officers arrived at Sunny Spot - a convenience store - between 5:10 pm and 5:12 pm to a 27 year old male, who medics pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still attempting to bring who they believe to be as the suspect in regards to the homicide.
At this time, officials have decided not to share the name of the victim for the sake of the family, and will be released at a later date.
No suspect is in custody at this time either. However, officials say there is no threat to public safety at this time.
