Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery to host historical Jewish program

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Final Kindness: The Rituals & Meaning of Jewish Burial will be presented by speakers Rabbi Kuppel Lindow and Bekki Lindow at Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery.
The historical program is a result of a collaboration between Elkhart County Historical Museum and Michiana Jewish Historical Society.
Attendees have the opportunity to learn the origin of practices concerning Jewish death, burial, and mourning rituals. After the presentation, there will be time to reflect and explore the cemetery grounds.
This event will be held on Sunday, June 8, at 3 p.m.
There is no cost for this event, but registration is required. Visit the events page on the Elkhart County Parks website to register.
Wearing flip flops or shorts is discouraged, attendees should dress respectfully for the space.
To enter the cemetery, please use the gate on Calhoun Street, off Jefferson Boulevard.
