High winds cause power outages in Michiana

There are multiple power outages throughout Michiana which are tree-related due to high winds.
Indiana Michigan Power has approximately 2,000 customers without power.

- Van Buren 150+
- St Joseph, Ind. - 150+
- Elkhart Co. 300+
In Elkhart County, a tree fell and broke a utility pole. All customers should be restored by 10:30 p.m.
St. Joseph County – There are six different outages affecting over 150 people.
In Michigan, there are 17 different outages affecting over 1,000 customers.
