Indiana State Police INDIANAPOLIS -- A marker commemorating a notable moment in Indiana's LGBTQ+ history has been vandalized.
Indiana State Police report that a sign honoring Indiana's first large-scale outdoor Pride event was intentionally damaged. The sign stood on Indianapolis's Monument Circle.
ISP officials allege footage it obtained shows four males walking past the sign; two of them are allegedly then seen stopping to read and then damage the sign. Officials say the sign eventually broke off its stand, and all four individuals ran away.
Investigators are currently working to identify possible suspects.
