Hollywood Walk of Fame getting a face-lift

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- The Hollywood Walk of Fame is getting a face-lift.

Some of its stars are in pretty bad shape, so they are being spruced up.

Over the years Matthew Broderick's Star has been busted and Kermit the Frog's has been cracked.

But now they are being fixed up.

It will happen in phases along Hollywood Boulevard.

The first chunk of the stars have been removed and will be replaced by the end of the year.

Fixing the Walk of Fame will cost more than $4 million.

The chamber only has 2.5 million for the project and is hoping for donations.
