Home in LaPorte destroyed by fire

LAPORTE, Ind. – A fire destroyed a home on Long Lane in LaPorte County Thursday morning.
The Scipio Township Fire Department says it responded just after 4 a.m. central time.
In addition to the home, the fire also destroyed two vehicles in the garage.
Investigators say they contacted the owner, who is out of the country on vacation.
Investigagtors are looking for the cause.
