Home Depot gives back to disabled veterans

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A team of managers at Mishawaka's Home Depot gave up their day off Tuesday to give back to local veterans.

Home Depot donated a free fence to the Chiara home in South Bend.

It is home to disabled veterans as well as other people with special needs.

The team leader told ABC57 Home Depot gives back to the community doing different projects every month.

"We don't want to just sell our product but at the same time we want to help out in the community. That's the whole part of Home Depot-- we want to take care of our customers," said Cedrick Mgwaba.

The project started when people from the Chiara home came in looking for an estimate for a fence.
