Home sales rise 2 percent in October

Good news out of the real estate market Monday night, home sales rose 2 percent in the month of October.

That's much better than experts were expecting.

Altogether sales rose to nearly $500 million.

This comes as both low mortage rates and increasing home prices, which are affecting buyers.
