Homeless man gets 65 years in prison for killing Goshen hotel owner

GOSHEN, Ind. -- A homeless man, who killed a Goshen hotel owner, is headed to prison!

We called the Elkhart County Prosecutor's Office Wednesday afternoon.

They told us that the judge sentenced John Hawley to 65 years in prison -- the maximum sentence for the crime.

He beat Ken Patel to death in October.

Hawley worked for Patel at the old Goshen Inn and Conference Center.
