Homicide investigation still underway for Gary woman

GARY, Ind. — Police are using new information in the case of a woman who was found shot in the stomach at the Majestic Star Casino in Gary.

Investigators have taken evidence from a second crime scene in Griffith, Ind. which is southwest of Gary.

That is where it is believed that the victim, Mary Austgen, owned a business.

Police are also looking for evidence where the victim lived in St. John, Ind.

Gary and Griffith police continue to work together on the homicide investigation.
