Honor Adoption Days comes to Berrien County

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. – Honor Credit Union and Berrien County Animal Control are co-hosting Honor Adoption Days in November. Adoption fees are being taken care of by Honor for each cat and dog that gets adopted, so there’s no better time to get a furry friend.

The sponsored adoptions happen at Berrien County Animal Control on November 11th through 13th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and the 14th from 10 a.m. to noon.

During the event, Honor Credit Union will donate $75 for cats and up to $100 for dogs that are adopted.

These donations cover the cost of spaying or neutering pets, vaccinations including rabies shots, as well as microchips in case a pet becomes lost.

Licensing fees and carriers will still be paid for by anyone making an adoption.

“I’m a huge animal lover and have had dogs and cats my entire life. While this is my first experience with this event, the thought of so many animals finding their FURever home is heartwarming. Honor is proud to sponsor pet adoptions and support this event, which assists our local animal shelters in need,” said Georgia Gipson, Honor’s Community Assistant Vice President (CAVP) for the Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, and Stevensville Communities.
