WATCH: Flag presentation to firefighter Joshua Comeau's family
South Bend Firefighter Joshua Comeau, 41, lost his battle with cancer on January 24. He will be remembered in ceremonies and services on Thursday and Friday.
Comeau had been with the South Bend Fire Department since November 2007. He served at Central, Medic 12 at Penn Fire, Fire Station 4 and last served at Fire Station 9.
Comeau worked as a firefighter and as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician.
Before the public calling on Thursday, there was a flag presentation for members of the family. The event was not public, but the family allowed ABC57 to live stream the ceremony. You can watch the video in the player at the top of the page.
Calling will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
On Friday, visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church. The Mass, at 1 p.m., will also be live streamed on ABC57.com.
Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
