Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita said on Friday that $2.9 million dollars will be doled out to Hoosier Turbo Tax users.
The company behind Turbo Tax, Intuit Inc., is issuing the money as a part of a nationwide $114 million-dollar settlement stemming from over 98,000 transaction errors within the state of Indiana.
Distribution of the restitution funds will be handled by a settlement administrator and sent to affected customers.
Checks will be sent either via the mail or electronically, via direct-deposit.
Indiana residents do not need to make a claim to receive money.
