Annual Easter Egg Hunt brings families together in Elkhart
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Hope for the Hungry will be having a food giveaway for the entire community Friday, July 24.
The giveaway will be at the Doulos Chapel, in South Bend from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
They will be giving away non-perishable items such as canned goods, meat, and snacks.
Martin’s supermarket has donated $200 to the cause happening on Friday.
“This event is to be an impact and to help those who need to eat, who need food, who need an extra resource especially now that it’s summer time and kids are home. We don’t want anybody to go hungry,” said Laquisha Jackson, Founder of the Hope for Humanity.
Volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves and they will be handing out boxes personally to ensure social distancing.
