Today will be both sunny and hot, dangerously hot at times, as highs are expected to hit the upper 90s and possibly top out around 100F. Heat indices will likely rise to 105F-110F this afternoon and evening as dewpoints feel almost tropical. Later tonight, scattered strong thunderstorms will occupy portions of northern Michiana, but not everyone will see wet weather as lows bottom out around 70F. Thunderstorms that do develop have a small chance of turning severe. Warm and muggy weather persists through Wednesday as partly cloudy skies fill in above us. Thursday and Friday will both feature a combination of scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm or two, but no severe weather is expected later this week. We continue to cool down and become progressively less muggy into the weekend.
Today: Sunny and hot. High 98.
Tonight: Scattered thunderstorms. Low 71.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy. High 88.
Thursday: Rain. High 87.
