House fire in Mishawaka

Fire officials say wind was a major factor in the growth of a Mishawaka house fire.

The fire, which occurred Sunday on Battell Street, destroyed one house and damaged the side of another.

No one was injured during the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the cause of it spreading is not.

We call it a wind driven fire. It really hurts us at this time because that's the one thing a fire needs, is oxygen to grow,” Woodward said
