ABC 57 ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- The St. Joseph Department of Public Safety director reports a house fire occurred Tuesday morning.
The call came in at 4:39 a.m. and occurred in the 800 block of Michigan Avenue.
Authorities say the house is a total loss.
The homeowner suffered second and third degree burns and was sent to hospital.
