Houston firefighters gather to remember those lost in building collapse

HOUSTON -- Thousands gathered to remember the four Texas firefighters killed in a building collapse last week.

Hundreds of fire and police personnel led a procession inside Houston's Reliant Stadium Wednesday.

Nearly 40,000 people were expected to attend the service to honor those who lost their lives trying to save others.

"It is our duty to honor these four individuals who are represented here. Four people who sacrificed everything in service of their community," said Texas Governor Rick Perry.

The firefighters died Friday battling a motel fire.

It marked the Houston fire department's deadliest day in its 118-year history.
